William provides personalized financial advice and discretionary management of investment portfolios to his clients.  

William began his career as a Financial Advisor with Shearson Lehman Brothers in Costa Mesa, CA. in 1992, where he developed his fundamental investment knowledge. After a number of mergers and name changes, he left Smith Barney and joined Wachovia Securities, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors, in 2008. In 2019, William co-founded Gomberg/McQuilkin Wealth Management Group which is affiliated with Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network to provide his clients with the highest level of personal advice and service combined with the scale and resources of a top investment firm.

William provides comprehensive investment planning utilizing an industry leading planning technology provided by eMoney. Once a working relationship is developed, he has the tools and technology needed to discuss your life expectations, decide on an appropriate investment strategy, track your progress (for Advisory clients), and update your approach whenever necessary.

His goal is to ensure that your interactions and your experiences forming an investment plan are positive. He believes in client relationships and puts servicing of his clients’ accounts as his top priority.

William spends his free time with his wife Rona, and their two daughters. They like to stay active both physically and mentally, whether it’s taking walks together at the park or taking regular trips to the many museums and art galleries around southern California. William especially enjoys traveling with his family and experiencing different cultures and learning about their history.
